This is a great jack. It comes with a steel base and a flat steel platform that supports itself well, even in the off the road dirt or a gravel drive way (it's not the one shown in the picture at the time of this posting - the picture shows legs and not the flat base). It's sturdy, lifts steady with more than enough height if you need it. I am very pleased with its construction and performance. I highly recommend it. It worked so well I bought a second one. Also, the jack was delivered quickly. I am very satisfied with The Sportsman's Guide (they respond quickly to e-mails - I wanted to make sure I didn't get the one with the plastic base, legs, and feet) and Buffalo Tools (all quality - no plastic base, legs, or feet).
