This is worthless for leaving a device plugged in unattended. Once the power gets to 11V, a very loud alarm begins to sound, and does not stop until you turn off the AC power (depending on the device you are powering, this can mean the piercing alarm will sound for hours). Obviously this will result in people wanting to do bodily harm to you. Xantrex says the alarm cannot be disabled. GREAT product design.
